There are two main types of membership - Institutional and Individual. Memberships are based on a calendar year. Membership terms begin in January and expire in December. Renewal dues payments are required in January of each year.

Institutional Membership

Institutional members receive the following benefits:

• Participation in Comparison Test.
• A reduced subscription rate to the print version of Animal Genetics.

NB: Staff members of laboratories which are Institutional members are not entitled to any special privileges or voting rights, and they are encouraged to become Individual members.

Individual Membership

Individual members have full voting rights and are entitled to participate in all Society functions. Individual members receive the following benefits:

• An online subscription to Animal Genetics.
• A reduced subscription rate to the print version of Animal Genetics.
• Reduced registration fees to the ISAG biannual conferences.
• 20% discount on selected books published by Blackwell Publishing.
