Min-Sheng Peng received his PhD from Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (KIZ-CAS) in 2011. He is now a Professor of KIZ-CAS and Director of Yunnan Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Domestic Animals. His major research interests include genetic diversity and evolution of poultry species as well as the formation of specific traits involved in local adaptation, hybridization, and breeding.

Demilade Israel Ibiwoye received his BS in agriculture and MS in animal production from the University of Nigeria (Nsukka, Nigeria) and earned his PhD in poultry science at North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC ). He is a dedicated poultry science professional with a strong background in poultry health and disease management. His work focuses on enhancing productivity, minimizing environmental impact, and promoting both animal and human health through innovative research and practical solutions. He currently serves as a research assistant in the Prestage Department of Poultry Science at North Carolina State University, where his research centers on developing sustainable health initiatives and vaccination strategies. Ibiwoye’s work includes evaluating the effects of various feed additives and nutritional approaches on poultry performance, gastrointestinal health, and disease resistance. A key focus of his research is on vaccination strategies against Eimeria in turkeys, aiming to improve disease control and overall flock health.

Jie Wen received a PhD in Animal Husbandry from the Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (IAS, CAAS), and completed postdoctoral research at University College Cork. He is currently a researcher at the IAS, CAAS. Since 1998, he has mainly been engaged in research on genetic basis of chicken complex traits such as meat quality, feed efficiency, and disease resistance traits. He has chaired and completed over 100 projects, including national science and technology research, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He has been the chief scientist of the national modern agricultural industry technology system (Broiler) since 2008. He is also a member of the ISAG Avian Genetics and Genomics Committee. Wen has bred five yellow-feather chickens breeds and one white-feather broiler breed that passed the national certification. He has awarded more than 15 invention patents and developed 5 national or industry standards; has published more than 180 scientific papers.
